HALF DAY TOURS (4 - 4,30 Hrs.)
HD Classic Santiago
Today, a Pionero Travel driver and guide will pick you up at your hotel for a captivating half-day tour exploring the historical and cultural highlights of Santiago.
Your journey begins at the Civic Center, where you’ll visit La Moneda Palace, Chile’s neoclassical presidential palace built in the 18th century. From there, stroll to Plaza de Armas, the historic heart of San- tiago, surrounded by important landmarks including the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Historical Museum, and the Central Post Office—each bearing witness to the city’s colonial past.
Next, enjoy a scenic drive through Forestal Park, a lush green corridor that connects the city center with the elegant Fine Arts Museum and the artistic Bellavista neigh-
borhood, known for its bohemian spirit, vibrant street art, and lively atmosphere.
The tour continues with a visit to one of Santiago’s most iconic natural landmarks: San Cristóbal Hill. Rising 880 meters above sea level, this hill offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the Andes beyond. Originally known as Tupahue by the indigenous Mapuche people, it was renamed by Spanish conquistadors in honor of Saint Christopher.

From here, you’ll enjoy a ride on the Santia- go Cable Car, located within Metropolitan Park. Reopened in 2016 after a full renova- tion, the modern cable cars feature panora- mic windows, wheelchair access, and bike racks. As you ascend, you’ll take in breath- taking 360-degree views of the sprawling city below—a true highlight of the day.
Your final stop is the charming Barrio Italia, one of Santiago’s trendiest and most crea- tive districts. Once home to Italian immi- grants in the 19th century, this neighbor- hood has evolved into a vibrant mix of boutique design shops, cozy cafes, and artistic workshops. Its colorful facades and hidden courtyards offer the perfect setting for a relaxed stroll and a taste of local culture.
At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will take you back to your hotel.
