Christian Ramcke

Christian Ramcke was born and raised in Chile. He is a Hotel Management graduate of the Hotel Management School of Lubeck (Germany) and worked for several major hotel companies like Radisson SAS and Hyatt. His international experience also includes several years of extensive travel around the world, working across geographic and cultural boundaries.After returning to Chile, for five years he worked as a Project Director and Specialist Travel Designer for an exclusive tour operator designing tailor-made trips.
In 2010, Christian opened his own company, Pionero Travel. Since then he has focused on creating life enriching experiences for international travelers to Chile and South America. He carefully crafts each custom tour with enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a wealth of information about the emblematic and remote destinations in Chile garnered from his many years of experience. He has also personally escorted many private parties through the most important destinations in Chile, featuring exclusive properties and opportunities for private entree through his personal contacts.

Cristian Dufflocq

Cristian’s family has been dedicated to developing tourism activities in Chile and other Latin American countries for three generations. Cristian started guiding fly fishing in Cumilahue, his parents lodge in Chile’s Lakes district at an early age and then along his brother Marcelo and partner Claudio, started Rios Azules a tourism Company dedicated to explore remote corners of Chile and develop fly-fishing programs for discriminating and adventurous Anglers. He then partenerd with Christian Ramcke to take the tourism experience in Chile and Latin America to the next level focusing in the developement of personalized custom itineraries and luxury travel experiences. Crystal Manafi

Has worked for Pionero Travel as a Luxury and Custom Travel Specialist in Chile since 2015. She specializes in designing unforgettable experiences for travelers to Chile and South America by hand-picking unique activities, incredible destinations, and the best hotel properties based on the traveler’s desires and interests. She is originally from the United States and fell in love with Chile and traveling in 2009 after studying for a semester in Valparaiso. After graduating from Millersville University in Pennsylvania, she permanently moved to Chile to delve deeper into its unique culture and natural beauty. Since 2010, she has also been a local influencer and blogger, documenting and sharing her food recommendations and travels in Chile and the rest of the world. She also has experience in wine (WSET certificate), freelance writing, and social media management.

Jorge Corante

Our astronomy expert, studied at the School of Business and Administration ESANE in Calama City, graduating top level Technical in Tourism and Hospitality, his interest in astronomy comes from childhood when he and his grandmother and siblings spent their holidays Toconao village in those days there was no electricity, just candles and stoves were used, this allowed for a wonderful sky observation, with time after working with the general guide, Jorge begins to self study astronomy with various texts by renowned authors, astronomers, astrophysicists, teachers of physics and astronomy, including Andean authors, enriched on the worldview of the ancestors of the Circumpunean region, thus uniting all both historical and scientific knowledge for a good teaching about night sky and monthly there is update of all new in research and discovery in our amazing universe.
